Frequently Asked Questions
Is this UPI QR code generator really free?
Yes. Every payment link and QR code you generate here is 100% free. There are no limit counts, no watermarks, and no sign-up or registration required. It is powered by Spryve.in.
Is my UPI ID or payment data stored anywhere?
No. Security and privacy are our highest priorities. All QR code and deep link generation happens client-side in your web browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or saved anywhere.
Which apps can scan the generated QR code?
Any UPI-enabled app in India, including Google Pay (GPay), PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM (NPCI), Cred, Amazon Pay, and individual banking apps that support UPI QR scanning.
Do I need a merchant or business account to use this?
No, you don't need a business or merchant UPI ID. You can generate a QR code or payment link for any personal UPI ID (like name@bank) as well as business IDs.
Can I generate a QR code without specifying an amount?
Yes. Leaving the amount field blank creates an 'open' QR code. Payers can scan the QR code and enter their own transaction amount in their UPI app.
What is the maximum limit for UPI link transactions?
For standard peer-to-peer (P2P) UPI transactions, the NPCI daily limit is ₹1,00,000. For verified merchant transactions (P2PM / P2M), the limit can be higher (up to ₹5,00,000 for specific categories like education or healthcare). Check with your PSP bank for exact limits.
Can I download the QR code in vector SVG format?
Yes. We support downloading your QR code in high-quality PNG format for sharing on digital screens, and vector SVG format which is perfect for high-resolution printing on invoices, cards, or posters.
Are there any transaction fees or commissions?
No. Spryve does not intermediate, process, or route your payments. When a customer scans your QR code, the payment goes directly from their bank account to yours through the NPCI UPI network. There is zero platform fee.
